Hello, welcome back!

Let’s talk about what I worked on during the last few weeks.

First some stuff I’ve already mentioned or shown in previous private news.

Modding System In the last weeks I got the new modding system to a point where I’m satisfied enough to release it in the next version.

I finished the mod manager where you can enable and disable all installed mods.

The mods are able to create their own events, replace existing events and change the background images at the different locations.

The Quickstart Manual on the wiki is ready as well.

Quest System I finished the quest system quite some time ago, but I think I forgot to present it to the public, so here it is.

This system will help you to better get through the game when you want to play it more straightforwards instead of just playing it and have stuff happen when they happen.

It will help you what to do to progress event chains, will help you unlock stuff and give you an overview over all events that exist ingame.

PTA Meetings The PTA meetings have gotten a complete overhaul. Before the PTA meetings just pulled their information from the topic they wanted and then put the dialogues together with those informations. Sometimes that lead to weird dialogues and was quite tedious to maintain.

Now I used the power of composite events to fully rebuild the pta meetings and remade it as a composite event. Now it consists of the greeting, the discussion part, the voting part and the ending.

The discussion part is only known to you as “Do you have something you want to discuss? No? Then let’s continue.”. Before the overhaul it was a big WIP since I wasn’t sure how to best implement it. Event Composites solved that problem and with the level 2 introduction event chain it also got finally used for the first time.

The voting part has also been changed. Before it took it’s information for the dialogues from the rule or building or club, now it is possible to create an own event fragment for it, with custom discussions and dialogues and the full spectrum of what’s possible in events. If I don’t create a custom voting fragment, a default system will start and use the old way where it takes information from the object and generates the dialogue from that.

Events Now I talk about what happened recently.

Recently I finished all the events leading up to the transition of the school from level 1 to level 2. The entire transition is a big event chain. Now the introduction is finished, the voting is finished and all that is missing for fully completing the event chain and the transition is to implement the after effects. The texts for those are mostly already written and just need some imagery.

What else… What else has to be done for the new event. Or rather what else do I have planned. My plan is to introduce the lab building together with lab classrooms and the ability to finally create some “breaking bed” stuff. Add some general events specific for level 2. And possibly add a Library.

So you see still a lot of work to do. Enough to occupy a small team with. But I do it alone >:)
